Transitioning from Lyfe to Life

I neglected to post the past couple of days. I have a feeling that my blog posts will come and go as I start to understand how this works exactly. For my one follower, Tyler, I will apologize in advance for the sporadic updates.

I went home this past week for Thanksgiving and enjoyed spending time with my familia. It's been weird for my parents to finally have all their girls away at college (I am the middle of three daughters with the youngest being a freshman in college right now). My sister brought her fiance home for his first holiday with us. He actually fit in quite nicely, even if he doesn't quite understand the family humor yet.

Anyways, I'm graduating college early this December but continuing to live in my college house with all my friends and work in the surrounding area. I'm going to be doing event programming for a state park/my college for the new outdoor education sector of the university. I'm actually super excited to have a break from schoolwork before the hustle and bustle of the real world.
Side note: My friend, Briana, spells college life with a y (lyfe) in order to indicate that our current lives are in fact not real life. I will continue this stroke of genius in order to distinguish what I am referring to.

With my semi-time off next semester I plan on doing some things to rejuvenate and revamp my lyfe prior to life. By the end of next semester, I hope to have:
  • read at least 15 new books (just bought 2 on Amazon today!)
  • run a marathon
  • created a college scrapbook
More information on all three of these things will follow in the next couple of posts but I wanted to lay out my plans now. If you have any good book suggestions, I would be more than happy to hear them!

Fourth time's the charm!

I've tried to start this blog 4 times now. I have some friends who blog and it seems like they all have a certain expertise that others can enjoy reading about. Because of this, I have struggled to figure out what I am an expert in. To be honest, I am probably an expert in nothing. I am a twenty one year old college senior who loves working out, country concerts, the color green, and savoring every moment of my young life. In the future, I hope to work somewhere in the event field and I am doing my bestest to make it there.

I've decided that this time, my lack of expertise will not hold me back. I am going to write about whatever comes to mind and I hope you enjoy it. I know that this time, I will.
